Our ethos

We try our best at being good to the environment, avoiding dubious organisations and doing our bit for the greater good.

The environment

Common sense prevails: we only boil the required amount of water for tea rounds, we recycle as much as we can, we switch off the lights each night along with our computers and we only use the printer when we need to. Aespec go that little bit further too, all correspondence with our customers and suppliers are paperless and where possible source printers that use environmentally sensitive and sustainable methods (Four Corners Print is our first point of call).

Unethical companies / organisations

We will not work with companies that actively harm the environment or exploit workers rights for their own profit. Under no circumstance will we undertake work from companies or organisations that directly or in-directly promote violence, racism, homophobia or xenophobia. We want everyone to get on in the world but it’s a shame that there’s a small percentage of idiots, so the last thing we want to do is to give them a platform to voice their opinions.

The greater good

We are big advocates of open source and where possible we try and give back as much as we can. Over the years we’ve learnt a thing or two and it gives us a nice warm fuzzy feeling when we can help someone. WordPress and jQuery are really doing it for us at the moment, and when we get some spare time we’ll be pumping back the knowledge we’ve aquired back in to these communities.
